The About-Me File

AI gives generic answers when you don't give it your own context.

Fix that once and every conversation gets better immediately. I created this custom tool to make it quick and easy.

How it works

Three layers. Nine questions. Ten minutes.

  • 1Who you are & what you want help with -- your background, expertise, and where you need AI most.
  • 2Where you're starting from with AI -- your experience, the tool you use, your hopes and worries.
  • 3How you like to learn & be spoken to -- answer length, tone, jargon, and what to avoid.

# About Me
Context to help my AI give answers that fit me.

## Who I am
I run a small accounting practice serving local
small businesses -- about 60 clients.
22 years in tax prep and bookkeeping.
QuickBooks ProAdvisor; comfortable with numbers,
newer to AI.

## What I want help with
- Drafting clear client emails
- Summarizing tax-law and IRS changes
- Explaining concepts to clients in plain terms
- First drafts of engagement letters

## Where I'm at with AI
Experience: beginner, used ChatGPT a handful
of times. Tool: ChatGPT.
Biggest hope: save hours on routine writing.
Biggest worry: getting facts or numbers wrong.

## How to work with me
- Plain English, no tech jargon
- Accuracy matters -- flag anything uncertain
- Keep it concise; lead with the answer
- Never assume specific tax figures; ask me
- Treat client details as confidential
